LOL
I feel your pain Laurie! The last time I went riding, I was saddle-sore for about 5 days afterwards.

I talked with a friend about this yesterday. We couldn't figure out why your muscles hurt so much after riding. You're just sitting there on the horse, it's not like you're running

lol Ivana! You don't just sit on a horse hun. You have to 'rise' with the motion of the horse when it trots and grip on tightly when it's canterng or galloping, thereby using leg, back and buttock muscles.
It's really quite a strenuous activity, muscularly.

I miss riding! I don't however miss the aches and pains that go along with it. Why else do cowboys walk so funny? They can't move either after riding for so long!
I hope you had fun Laurie!

Well I don't know if Yoga saved me or not... and if it did I'll have to thank my instructor! lol
I did a heap of yoga before bed last night, to try to stretch some of these unfamiliar muscles and all feels pretty good today. I'm ready to go riding again! LOL riiiight!

At least you got some good exercise I've only seen a horse up close once and that was enough for me
